Statues of Martyr Raja Shankar Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah to be Installed

Bhopal : Chief Minister  Shivarj Singh Chouhan said that statues of Martyr Raja Shankar Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah will be installed in Anuppur district. Pension will be distributed in panchayat bhavan on every 10th of the month. Students’ uniform will be distributed by getting stitched from the self help groups and cycles will be purchased for distribution from the next academic session. He was addressing the convention of Gond community convention organized on the occasion of 159th Balidaan Diwas of Martyr Raja Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah at village Benibari of Janpad Panchayat Pushparajgarh today.

Chouhan said that not only Gond community but the entire nation feels pride for Raja Shankar Shah, Raghunath Shah and Rani Durgavati’s courage and struggle against British and Rani Durgavati’s struggle with Mughals . It is our responsibility to make their memories unforgettable and to apprise future generation about their courage and valour.

He further mentioned that the state government is working for the welfare of all the section of the society. Besides providing loans to farmers on zero interest rate, now farmers have to repay Rs. 90 thousand against a loan of Rs. One lakh taken for purchase of seeds and ferlisers. Chouhan informed that wheat, rice and salt are being provided to the poor at the rate of Rs. one per k.g. Problems related to MNREGA wages are being eradicated permanently. Pattas are being distributed among the poor who have no land for houses. A grant of Rs. 20 thousand to each poor will be provided to 8 lakh poor for construction of houses.

CM Chouhan laid foundation stone of Jhilmil reservoir costing Rs. 15 lakh 90 thousand and Samrat reservoir costing Rs. 19 lakh 60 thousand on the occasion. He also performed Kanya Poojan in the programme. He announced upgradation of primary health center at Benibari, construction of community bhavan, upgradation of primary school of Kachra-Tola, construction of primary school building at Mediaras, arrangement of vehicle for carrying dead bodied at Benibari, construction of boundary wall of middle school of Basantpur and Rs. One lakh 10 thousand each to various dance teams participated in the programme. Shri Chouhan distributed the benefits of various welfare schemes to 33 thousand 90 beneficiaries at Benibari.

Unique Schemes Prepared for Development of farmers, laborers and weaker section

Chouhan while addressing the beneficiaries’ convention and Jan Darshan programme held at Rajnagar and Bijuri of Anuppur district said that unique schemes have been prepared for the welfare and all round development of farmers, labourers and weaker section by the state government. He said that his life is committed for the welfare of the people and he will keep on rendering services to the people of state till his last breathe. He announced sum of Rs. 2 crore 50 lakh each for making gram panchayats of Bangawa of Rajnagar, Dola and Dumarkachar as nagar panchayat and for urban potable water scheme. He also gave sanction of Rs. 5 crore for Rajnagar panchayat. Moreover, he announced upgradation of sub health center at Rajnagar, building construction of higher secondary school, beautification of pond, construction of bus stand and opening of college. He distributed benefits of various schemes to 7 thousand 743 beneficiaries at Rajnagar.  Chouhan further announced Rs. 15 crore 46 lakh for urban potable water to Bijuri Nagarpalika, construction of girls school and college buildings and Rs. 10 crore for construction of 200 houses for people of urban area. He also announced upgradation of primary health center at Bijuri.-WTN
