Health minister Shri Rustam Singh visits Golipura and Vijay Nagar Hospital
Bhopal:Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Rustam Singh reached Golipura village in Sheopur district and knew actual position while meeting affected families. Singh said to give Rs 5000 each to family of deceased children from his discretionary fund. Singh asked Asha and Aanganwari workers to keep a watch on every family, inform immediately hospital in case of disease so that children could be saved. Singh said it is very unfortunate that family members did not inform on time, otherwise, the children could have been saved.
The health minister got detail of treatment being provided to children while visiting Vijay Nagar hospital. Twenty four children are admitted here. They include four of Golipura and 20 others of surrounding villages. Their family members informed the minister that children’s conditions had improved after treatment.
On Health Minister’s instructions, 11 teams are conducting health survey in villages. Singh instructed Chief Medical Officer to maintain cleanliness in the hospital, monitor health condition of the children, issue directives to health works to find out sick children and provide treatment without waiting for consent from their parents.
Rustam Singh directed Sheopur collector to ensure that no more children be malnourished. The sick child be sent to hospital through ambulance 108 service. Aware public of malnutrition through different ways.-WTN
