Peoples University: Students celebrate Teachers Day

Bhopal: Students at People’s University enthralled the teachers as they celebrated teachers day to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli  Radhakrishnan who was President of India and a well-known teacher.

Megha Vijaywargia Trustee and Director Peoples Group,  Smt Urmila Vijaywargia Trustee Peoples Group graced the occasion. Col. Ashok Khurana Director Planning, Dr. V.K.Pandya Vice Chancellor,  Dr. Neerja Mullick Registrar, All HOIs of the constituent units, faculty members staff and students of People’s University attended the program.
Dr. V.K.Pandya Vice Chancellor welcomed all the guests and dignitaries. He expressed his gratitude towards the teachers; appreciated them for their hard-work and devotion shown in moulding the lives of their students. He encouraged all students to respect their teachers.

The cultural extravaganza was a delight to see. Students performed in multicolored vibrant dresses to suit the occasion. Jaikishan, Nivedita, Shadab, Shreya, Aman, Shivani, Pranav, Dhananjay, Anand, Ayushi, Vikas and Mazhar sang various solo and duet songs;  Mahima, Narendra, Abhinav, Akanksha, Manya, Shikha, Paridhi, Jaya and Group presented western, semi-classical folk dance; Pranav, Yash, Mukesh, Shanu and group sang Qawwali;  Tushar, Batul, Shubhendu, Shaba, Shyama, Aarti , Rashi and group performed skit. Faculty members Dr MP Singh, Dr Prabhu, Dr Bipa Majumdar, Dr Subhangi Mhsake, Dr Neerja Mullick and group beautifully sang mesmerizing ‘..mile sur mera tumhara..’ ; Dr Shaji Shaji Thomas, Dr Sumit Narang, Saumya, Anuradha, Rachael and group presented fashion show.  The teachers were felicitated with mementos. To charm the audience students gave away few random prizes. Most dignified lady was presented to Megha Vijaywargia, Most Popular Teacher was given to Dr. V.K.Pandya, Dr. Shrikant Asawa, Dr. MP Singh, Dr. Naveen Yadav, Dr. Soumya Shukla, Dr. Anand Shrivastav, Dr. BU Shandilya, Shubham Chowdhary and Meenu Nair.  Most Handsome Teacher was given Dr. C.C.Chaubal; Most picture perfect smile to Dr. Vrinda; Most photogenic face to Dr. Parimla Tyagi, Most picture perfect male to Dr. P.Suresh and Popular Couple to Capt. Summi & Ram Chaudhary to name a few.  The PU students band also put up an excellent show. It was a memorable day indeed.
Megha Vijaywargia appreciated the students who left no stone un-turned to ensure that the teachers enjoy the show.

Program followed with high tea specially arranged by students of hotel management staff Principal VK Gupta.  Sumptuous cup-cakes, sandwiches, cookies and other snacks  were savored by all.
