Apathy will not be Tolerated in Implementation of Women Empowerment Schemes

Bhopal: Minister for Women and Child Development Archana Chitnis said that no apathy will be tolerated towards implementation of women Empowerment Schemes. Notices should be served first to the project Officers for not informing about the implementation on time and then annual increment of such officers should be put on hold. She was reviewing the women empowerment schemes.

Minister Chitnis further said that the state government is committed for the empowerment of women. Many schemes are being implemented in this regard. Responsibility to ensure benefit reaches to the beneficiaries is ours. Coordinate with the organizations which are linked with the schemes to make women self reliant and implement the schemes. She laid emphasis to combine various schemes of similarities.

Moreover, Chitins said to keep children up to 13 years of age together whereas to keep children above 13 years of age separately. She told the officials to establish Udita Corner in all the schools as regard to sanitation awareness among the teenage girls especially in Girls Schools. 

She also emphasized and gave directives to conduct a campaign about one stop center “Sakhi” to spread awareness among the women.  Chitnis told the officers to identify women involved in immoral activities and prepare a scheme to bring them in the mainstream of the society. Books on morale values and information about women who have achieved distinction in their lives because of self confidence should be provided to such women and their children on special occasions.-WTN
