Orphan childrens birth registration to be carried out

Tuesday - September 13, 2016 12:35 am , Category : WTN SPECIAL

Bhopal : State government has issued directives for birth registration of orphan children. Orphanage or a place where such child is living, will be considered as birth place in case of not having information about birth place and birth date will be considered as determined by regional chief medical officer. Column related with parents will be left vacant in case of not having information by the orphanage or institution.

Concerned registrar (birth and death) will register orphan child on the basis of information available in birth reporting form. Birth certificate will be released after the registration but ‘orphan child’ won’t be mentioned in it. Orphanage in-charge, guardians have been asked to get registered children they are taking care of.

If a child is registered as ‘Samarpan Vilekh’, the orphanage will have to get birth certificate from parents to prevent double entry in registration. If registration has not been done previously, orphanage will have to give report of birth for registration as per the new guideline.

If there is information about child’s name, the name will be given in birth reporting form. In-charge of orphanage or guardians will name the child in case of not having information about his or her name and that will be mentioned in birth reporting form.

State government has issued directives in context of the circular issued by registrar general of the central government.-WTN
