Committee constituted for Khelo India national programme for development of sports

Bhopal : State government has constituted state and district level executive committees for ‘Khelo India’ national programme for development of sports.

Chief Secretary will be chairman of state level executive committee for ‘Khelo India’, national programme for development of sports. Secretary, sports and youth welfare, regional director, sports authority of India, representative of state sports federation (on rotation basis), state or national level one male and female player nominated by the chairman, will be its members. Director, sports and youth welfare will be its member-secretary.

District collector will be chairman of district level executive committee. President of District Panchayat has been nominated co-chairman. Superintendent of Police, CEO District Panchayat, deputy director panchayat and social service, district education officer, two players (male and female) will be members. District sports officer will be member secretary and MP and MLAs will be special invitees.-WTN
