Madhya Pradesh Celebrated Foundation Day on Nov 1st 2016
Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh celebrated their formation days on 1st of November 2016. PM Narendra Modi extended his greetings to all five states.
Though the celebration of formation day was kept on low key notes for Madhya Pradesh this year and was not as Mega as of usual years in respect to soldier who shed their lives in Uri attack and also as regard to the policeman allegedly killed by SIMI activists who escaped from the Bhopal Central Jail.
Sunidhi Chauhan and Hariharan performed songs, where Bedi Jali Le song by Sunidhi fires the stage the song Bharat Hum Ko Jaan Se Pyara Hai by Hariharan filled the hearts of the Bhopalies with patriotism. Besides this, a Kathak performance on the state anthem ‘Sukh ka data sab ka saath’ sung by playback singer Shaan and written by journalist and writer Mahesh Shrivastava which was performed by Suchitra Harmalkar of Indore were the highlights. In addition to this, a state award titled ‘Madhya Pradesh Gaurav Award’ was also given away on the occasion to Mr. Sudhir Mishra was awarded MP Gaurav Samman.
