Dhoni proves that he is definitely going to stay in next World Cup

During second one day international yesterday night , India snatched victory from jaws of Sri Lanka. Lankans gave men in blue an excellent fight but in the end failed to capitalize the platform they had set in middle of Indian innings. It was finally MS Dhoni, who along with  Bhuvneshwar Kumar held the innings with a 100-run partnership to take India home. Dhoni’s innings was significant not only because he was patiently scoring the runs, but also because he was the motivator for Kumar to stay on wicket and score. As aptly said by Kumar “ Dhoni told me to play like I would in a Test match”.
Recently, many were questioning the utility of Dhoni in Team India and his continuity in 2019 World Cup. This innings of Dhoni has shut the mouth of critics who were doubting his potential as a batsman and more so as a finisher. With more than 10,000 runs in one days (that too when he comes in middle order) , Dhoni is one of the most prolific batsman in India cricketing history inone days. Needless to mention that most of the runs he scores makes India wins. He has been the architect of many Indian wins that too in crunch situations. Also, his ability to maintain his cool under situations of extreme pressure will help Captain Virat to overcome difficult situations in upcoming World Cup. Dhoni will definitely be an asset to Team India in next World Cup.
