The hub for all activities that one loves.. be it live music, or stand up or watching movies under the Stars.. This Diwali, Camp Deogadh is hosting it's first Sunset Session. With the backdrop of the setting sun against Lake Pawna, the Rajeev Raja combine is going to take center stage and enthrall it's audience.
About Camp Deogadh
Camp Deogadh is a tented camping ground. Spread over 1.5 acres of pristine terrain, overlooking the Pawna Lake, the campsite has been carefully built keeping in mind an artistic sensibility whilst being close to nature. With clean English style toilets and showers, an organic farm which grows vegetables such as fresh pepper, lemons, spring onions, tomatoes, radish and herbs, a fully functional cook house and BBQ grill. This beautiful setting is situated 25 minutes from Lonavala, Maharashtra. It is 2.5 hours from Mumbai and 1 hour from Pune
BBQ's, Log fires, stargazing, bird watching, Swimming, trekking, Sunbathing.. are just some of the things you can do here.. Our aim is to make it a hub for passion based activities - amidst nature. A yoga camp, a trekking camp, an Astro camp, A photography camp, Cinema under the stars and a BBQ foodie event are some of the events we have organized already.

About the Rajeev Raja Combine
After performing at the Ranthambore and Kasauli Festivals, the celebrated Indo-Jazz band, Rajeev Raja Combine will perform a heady set of familiar and new compositions at Camp Deogadh on Oct 21.
The Rajeev Raja Combine is an exciting band that organically fuses elements of jazz, Indian classical, Latin and world music. Fronted by Rajeev Raja, one of India's most exciting Jazz and fusion flautists, the band with its fluid melodic lines, spontaneous syncopation and skilful improvisation enthral one and all.
Their maiden album ‘Cosmic Chant’ was No 1 on the iTunes India charts for several weeks running.

Rajeev Raja (Concert Flute/Bansuri) | Rajeev is no stranger to the Jazz and fusion fraternity. Considered one of India’s most exciting flautists, Rajeev keeps you riveted with a mixture of legato and staccato styles with influences ranging from Jazz to Indian Classical to Rock. Over the years Rajeev has played with some of India’s finest musicians including Shankar Mahadevan, Taufiq and FazalQuereshi, Salim of Salim-Sulaiman, Susmit Sen of Indian Ocean, and Barney Marsden of White Snake. Rajeev has also composed music for the Bollywood film,BasYunhi and runs his own sonic branding company called BrandMusiq.
ChandanaBala(Carnatic Vocals) | Chandana is an extremely talented vocalist who hails from a traditional Carnatic background. At ease in the fusion space too, Chandana’s powerful vocals and effortless improvisation adds a whole new element to the band.
Hitesh Dhutia(Guitars) | switches effortlessly between the clean tones of the technically challenging Jazz idiom, the raw, searing intensity of Rock, and the subtler expression of Indian raags. His sensitive yet substantive rhythmic backing is the cement that glues the band together.
Vinayak Netke(Tabla) |Vinayak is a self developed stylist who considers as his Gurus AvinashAher, Shri Suresh Wadkar and Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar. His approach is sensitive yet fast, light-fingered yet powerful. Vinayak is the complete team player merging with and driving the band forward with his rhythms.
Karl Peters(Bass): The legendary Karl Peters has played with the who's who of musicians both in India and abroad, including the Godfather of Indian Jazz - Louis Banks. Karl's musical influences include Jaco Pastorius and Victor Wooten.
Vaibhav Wavikar (Drums/Percussion) | Vaibhav is the baby of the band, but his versatility exhibits a talent way beyond his age. He is equally at home with the syncopations of jazz and Indian classical music. And plays on a variety of rhythmic instruments including drums, cajon, bells and cymbals.
About the Sunset Sessions
For this experience, what is in store is a great band in the great outdoor, some tasty BBQ and an overall wonderful experience camping under the stars, Pawna lake, friends and nature.The schedule for the program is as follows..21st Oct - 4:00 pm: Arrive at Campsite/Refreshments and Tea/Get allocated your tent.5:30 - 7:30 p.m: Watch The Sunset Sessions with the Rajeev Raja Combine at the Deck of Deogadh the Homestay8:30: BBQ Dinner and Revelrie 9:30: Campfire and Adlib music session with the musicians around the campfire Next day.. 22nd October 7:00 am: Rise and Shine/ Take a nature walk to view the birds/Dip in the lake or take a late snooze
9:00: Breakfast 11:30: Departure .
