Chief Minister Chouhan to inaugurate National Science-Math and Environmental Exhibition

Bhopal: School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that 44th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition-2017 organised by National Council of Educational Research and Training will be held in Bhopal. To be organised in collaboration with the School Education Department, the exhibition will take place between November 10 and 16 at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the exhibition on November 10 in the evening. Kunwar Vijay Shah gave this information in the press briefing.

 He said that the exhibition is organized at the national level for the purpose of enhancing the interest in science and mathematics and encouraging scientific way among the school students of the country. This exhibition is being held for the second time in the state. Earlier this exhibition was held in Jabalpur in 1987. He said that such events provide opportunities to students to display innovations in science. At the same time, students get an opportunity to understand how to use science and mathematics to solve various economic, social problems in the country. These types of events provide platform for mutual discussion and interaction between different parts, languages and cultures.
 
The main theme of this year's exhibition is Science, Technology and Mathematics for nation building. Under this, models of mathematical solution for health, industry, transport and communication, innovation in renewable resources for sustainable environment development, innovation in agriculture production and food security and quality life will be displayed by participants. The exhibition will show 142 models of 29 states and 9 union territories of the country. The exhibition will be open for students and common people from November 11 to 16 between10.30 am to 4.30 pm. Various scientists will deliver lectures during the exhibition.

 The lecture schedule and speakers are followed: Dr. V.P. Gupta of the Regional College on November 11, Dr Piyush Verma of NITTTR on November 12, Dr. Ravle of CSIR on 13th November, Alok Mandwagane of Aryabhatta Institute on November 15, and Madhav Kelkar of Eklavya Institute on November 16.

 Principal Secretary, School Education, Smt Dipti Gaur Mukherjee, officers of National Council of Educational Research and Training and School Education Department were present on the occasion.-Windowtonews
