A Heritage Corner

Bhopal: A heritage corner based on the theme Performing Art Tradition consisting of 40 photo Panels mounted in Department of Anthropology, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, Jharkhand was inaugurated by respected vice-chancellor Prof. Ramesh Sharan in the presence of Registrar, Director, IGRMS and a large Gathering of Teachers, Researchers and students. The exhibition was very much appreciated not only by the students and teachers but also by the media representative present in the crowed. The exhibition also included with some photographs reflective the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand. The vice-chancellor after observing the exhibition appreciated the works of IGRMS and thanked for selecting VBU for mounting the Heritage Corner.
The second session was deliberation of a lecture by Prof. Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri, Director IGRMS, Bhopal. A huge crowed of teachers, students including the different faculties gathered to hear Prof. Chaudhuri. The title of the lecture was Role of IGRMS in social research and Nation Building. His speech was focused on the activities of IGRMS which was directly linked with the community People. Before the lecture sri Arun Kiro, Curator IGRMS introduce the museum in brief. In his presidential address the vice-chancellor said that VBU will always be thankful to IGRMS who successfully showcased the rich culture diversity of India by mounting the Heritage corner in VBU. Again throwing light on the rich cultural Heritage of Jharkhand he said that VBU is also trying to build up a museum in University campus and for which he sought the cooperation from IGRMS to build up the museum. The session wad ended with the vote of thanks presented by Dr. Vinod Ranjan.-Windowtonews
