Two day International Conference on Ayurveda & Yoga begins at RD Memorial

Bhopal: The two day international conference on Ayurveda & Yoga begun here on Friday at RD Memorial Ayurved College & Hospital, Berkhedi Kalan, Bhadbhada Road. The attraction of the day was the lecture by Dr. Oleg Sorokin from Russia who elaborated about his inventions related to Ayurveda and the correlation between western studies and Ayurveda.
The conference was inaugurated by Revenue Minister Mr Umashankar Gupta on 17th November at 10 am. He also released a souvenir on the occasion.
The main aim to organize the two day International Conference is to discuss on the topic Ayurveda and Yoga and psychosomatic disorders on a single platform.
On the first day of the conference the key speakers were Dr. Oleg Sorokin, Prof. P. K. Prajapati, Prof M S Baghel, and Dr. Nitin Agarwal. The speakers talked about importance of Ayurveda, Psychological counseling, Herbal Treatment and the preventive measures of various harmful diseases which is available in Ayurveda. About 500 abstracts are being presented during the seminar, out of which three best abstracts will be awarded.
Prof. Dr. P.K Prajapati talked about Importance of Ayurveda Chikitsa in Social Media Addiction. According to Prof. our social media is harmful to the extent it is of our use as it has stopped out mental development. Students don’t refer books for the knowledge. They prefer internet to find the recent inventions and more but that leads to its addiction and blocks mental development.
The irregular lifestyle is also leading to many diseases like, insomnia, computer visionary syndrome and more which can be corrected through the regular practice of Yoga.
Another speaker Dr. Madhav Singh Baghel taked about ‘Vishad’ which means Neurosis, anxiety neurosis, and anxiety disorder which is very common in this era with everyone due to dreadful lifestyle which the youngsters are living with. He explained how anxiety neurosis is managed in Ayurveda and anxiety disorder is coming from the time of Mahabharat.
Dr. Baghel elaborated and explained about anxiety. According to him anxiety means fear or failure. Failure to succeed in life and failure itself leads to flight or fight syndrome and is known as fear psychosis. Only psycho counseling can get a person back from anxiety disorder.
Dr. Nitin Agrawal, National Secretary Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad focused on elaborating on ‘Quality Control in Ayurveda Industry’. According to Dr. Agrawal it is very important to have quality in any medicine which is given by doctors. He thinks that presenting ineffective medicine to the patients will be against his profession. According to him Ayurveda lacked behind as the quality of the medicine were compromised in past and medicine didn’t gave the expected results.
He also expressed his happiness, by sharing that many of the countries and big companies of India are dealing in Ayurveda and sharing the supplements which are very helpful even to prevent communicable diseases.
Lastly Dr. Oleg Sorokin, Chief Executive Officer of NAMA from Russia, presented on “The development of national ayurvedic medical for Russia”.
He talked about his invention of an ‘Analog for pulse reading’ which he made 15 years ago to prove western doctors. As western doctors work on facts and figures they need prove to accept any fact on the grounds of safety and more.
Dr. Oleg is also finding correlation between Ayurvedic terms and terms of western physiology, so that it could be easily understand by western doctors.
The International Conference will also witness unique Ayurveda Food Fest on 18th November where in students from around country will be presenting their culinary skills by preparing the dishes using the Ayurvedic herbs and medicines. The competition will be held in two categories with fire and without fire. Best two dishes will be awarded with prize and certification.-Windowtonews
