Self-help groups to make dresses of school children

MoS Technical Education Joshi dedicates ATDC to public 

Bhopal: Minister of State for Technical Education (Independent Charge), School Education and Labour Deepak Joshi dedicated Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) in Govindpura ITI. Training related to garment industries through state-of-the art machines will be imparted at the centre. The Textile Lab set up at the centre will help test which cloth material can cause skin diseases. Apart from this, colour of clothes and other eco-friendly tests will also be conducted.

Joshi said that training will be imparted to trainees of Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Samvardhan and Kaushalya Yojana at the centre. He said that the trainers should use simple language to teach the trainees. He said that use of modern machines is a must to improve quality and cut cost. He told the trainees to form self-help groups after the training. Next year 60-70 lakh dresses of school children will be prepared through self-help groups. This can ensure better job opportunities. He told that loan of Rs 50 thousand can be obtained from Mudra Bank without guarantee. Own enterprise can be started after availing benefits from this scheme. Joshi spoke to the trainees and asked them about their future plans. He assured them of all possible assistance from the government.

7 thousand youths to get jobs

About 10 thousand youths will be imparted training of readymade dresses in various branches of ATDC. Out of these about 7 thousand will be placed in various readymade dresses companies. Others will also get employment through own enterprises.

The ATDC will have Bachelor Degree course of 3 years, Diploma course of one year and a 6-months certificate course. The courses will include apparel manufacturing technology, fashion designing, apparel pattern making, quality control and machine embroidery operator course.

Senior Vice Chairman ATDC Hari Kapoor, Vice Chairman G.S. Madan and CEO Dr. Darlie Koshy gave information about ATDC activities during the programme.-Windowtonews
