Three days seminar under tribal literature festival 2017

Bhopal: It is an immense pleasure for Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya to carry a three days seminar on tribal literature under tribal literature festival 2017. In the three days seminar around 70 papers were presented on tribal literature of different ethnic groups. But the intension of all papers are one that is to spread, protect and preserve the ethnic language and script. In the third day on 16.12.17 total eight presentations were made. The valedictory function starts with address by shri sudhir Srivastav. The chief guest of the function was prof Vinay Srivastav, Director General Anthropological Survey of India. Who spoke about the importance of the subject anthropology and the contribution of anthropologist in the study of other cultures. Chair person of the function was prof Sarit Kumar Choudhury. Ms Ruby Hembrom gave keynote address. She also highlights the importance of tribal literature and tribal writers. Vote of thanks was given by Shri Arun Kiro. 

In this literature seminar, the writers, storytellers who write in literature and language and script of following tribal areas of India, Kurukh, Ho, Kharia and Munda (Jharkhand), Toda (Tamilnadu), Gavit and Mavchi (Maharashtra) Banjara of Karnataka, Senthali of W.Bengal, Bhil of Gujarat, Rathwa, Vasava, Kunkana, Bodo, , Rabha, of Assam,  Baiga, Bhill, Korku of M.P., Arukala, Gondi, (Telgana), Meena of Rajasthan, Bhutia of Uttaranchal, Lepcha of Sikkim, Mizo (Lusai) and Thangal of Manipur, and Nishi of Arunachal. The present time work with the digital age of Language and Tribal script There was an agreement to revive the missing tribal language, Along with this, efforts were made to resolve the issues and issues related to it.

Kalanjali, exhibition cum sale of tribal paintings of paper mache, wooden toys, clothes, handicrafts, etc. are being sold at reasonable prices. Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Indira publishing House, Landmark, Book Paradise, Bhopal and Gyan Book Private Limited, New Delhi have participated in book exhibition on tribal literature

"Aahar" is  the major attraction of this programme organized in Hajong residence near Vithi Sankul. People here can enjoy the delights of traditional dishes of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal.

Programmes were also organised in which Gudum and korku dance of Madhya Pradesh, lingo karsaddance of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra which tells tales of Gond folklores and songs are suing in gondi language. Kakasar dance of Murita of Chhattisgarh was also presented in which dancers dance while singing 'shalik shilo rilo data' and give the message of happiness and mutual brotherhood.-Windowtonews
