Governor distributes Chancellor scholarships to 40 outstanding students

Bhopal: Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel said that Science and Technology is being used in our country since primeval times. Use of micro surgery on Ganesh, use of Pushpak Viman during Sitaharan and the direct broadcast of Mahabharata war to Dhritarashtra by Sanjay are the best examples. Governor Smt. Patel said this while addressing the Chancellor Scholarship Distribution ceremony organised at Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal today. The Governor distributed scholarship cheques to 40 outstanding students on the occasion.

Smt. Patel said that technology is with us at every step in our lives. Scholarship is a medium for the students to brush up their talent, skill and knowledge and to promote their interest. It is the responsibility of the students who have received the scholarship to make good use of it and give good performance. They should make their university, state and country proud.

The Governor said that our country has made a lot of progress in the field of technology. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has created a new record by launching 104 satellites simultaneously. Our country will send the second lunar exploration mission to the moon on April 3, 2018 which includes orbitor, lander and a small rover. All this will be developed by ISRO.

Principal Secretary Technical Education, Sanjay Bandopadhyay said that the state government is making efforts to improve technical education. The state government is implementing the central government schemes. Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Vice Chancellor Professor Sunil Kumar said that the students have raised the university’s prestige in the country and abroad.-Window To News
