First Indian to win Gold medal in Track event
Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated and extended best wishes to Smt. Hima Das for her amazing feat to win Gold Medal in 400 meter track event at the World under 20 Championship. It may be mentioned that she is the first Indian to win gold medal in the track event at the International arena. CM Chouhan said that her journey from the rice field of Assam to the World Champion is a result of her passion and dedication. Her success will prove to be an inspiration for youth.
It is to be highlighted that Hima Das has won gold medal in the 400 meter track event at the World under 20 Athletics Championship being held at Finland. She is the first Indian, who has won gold medal in the track event at any world track event. Hima has completed 400 meter track event race in 51.46 minutes on Thursday.-Window To News
