Workshop on digital transaction and taxation of Panchayat on July 24-25

Bhopal: The two-day workshop on promoting digital transition and taxation in Gram Panchayats will be held on July 24 and 25 in WALMI, Bhopal. Training would be imparted to 200 Panchayat representatives from 5 districts by subject experts. The workshop will be inaugurated by Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Gopal Bhargava on July 24.
Director, Panchayat Raj, Shamimuddin informed that efforts are being made to empower Panchayats under National Village Swaraj Campaign by Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. This special workshop is being organised in this regard.
On the first day of the workshop, technical detail and process of transaction through UPI, USSD, AEPS, POS, Mobilewallets, BHIM Ape as part of digital transaction will be informed to Panchayat for imposing compulsory and optional tax, imposing and recovering tax, under taxation process.
On the second day on July 25, presentations by representatives of excellent panchayats of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat states and speeches of Central Bank of India, SVLC Conveyor and IT Experts will be held.-Window To News
