AUG 01 (WTN) - In Madhya Pradesh, lawyers can no longer go on strike without permission. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has given this order while hearing a PIL. According to the information received from the media, the High Court has directed the Bar Association that without permission of the Chief Justice or District Judge lawyers will not be allowed to go on strike.
The High Court said in its order that if the State Bar Council’s strike declared unauthorized, then the Advocate General would see its responsibility.
