Governor Smt Patel flags off 'Rakhiyon Ka Raksha Rath' for army men 

Bhopal: Governor Smt Anandiben Patel flagged off Raksha Rath, carrying Rakhi sent by sisters of Madhya Pradesh today at Raj Bhavan for army men posted at the borders on Bharat Raksha Parv. The Governor said that 'I salute the brave soldiers. Because of them, our country's boundaries are safe today.' Rakhis collected from sisters by Navdunia newspaper were sent for army persons posted at the borders.

 Governor Smt Patel said that newspapers played an important role in the freedom struggle of the country. They guided the people and the leaders in every difficult situation and discharged the role of a watchdog. Newspapers contribution in the development of the country even after the Independence cannot be forgotten.

 Governor said that our army has established its reputation among the world's largest armies. Despite terrorism, naxalism and infiltration from neighboring countries and firing without reasons, courage of our soldiers are high. They are giving befitting reply to the enemies. She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled their 40-year-old demand and gave what that was their right.

 The Governor said that Rakshabandhan reminds resolution to brother to protect his sister. Posted on borders, the soldiers are our brothers. Lakhs of army persons could not get tied Rakhi on the Day of Rakshabandhan because of their posting at the borders. She said that they will be boosted up on receiving the Rakhi.

 On the occasion, editor of Navdunia Suresh Gaud, state deputy editor Rishi Pandey, Chancellor of the university Sanjeev Agrawal and students were present.-Window To News
