CM Chouhan presents President’ medal to 59 officers
Bhopal: Independence Day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm and fervor. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hoisted the national flag in a programme organized at Motilal Nehru Stadium of Bhopal and took the salute of the Independence Day parade. Director General of Police Rishi Shukla and Parade Commander Nagendra Singh IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police Mhow, Indore accompanied the Chief Minister. The Police band played the national song tune followed by celebratory firing by the jawans.
Felicitating the Armed Forces for best performance in the Independence Day parade, Chief Minister Chouhan gave the first prize to S.T.F. team, second to Nagaland team and the Madhya Pradesh Special Armed Forces was awarded the third prize. In the non-Armed teams N.C.C Army Wing (Girls) team was given the first prize, N.C.C. (Naval) wing got the second prize while N.C.C. (Air) Wing bagged the third prize.
The audience was overwhelmed with the grand and attractive march past presented by 18 contingents at the Independence Day parade. As many as 18 contingents including Parade Commander Nagendra Singh, Parade 2IC Nagendra Singh Sikarwar Deputy Superintendent of Police (Probationary), Neemuch, Nagaland led by Sub Inspector Grenrailung, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces led by Sub Inspector Shivji Yadav, S.T.F. led by Sub Inspector Chanchal Romade, Special Armed Forces led by Sub Inspector Ramdutt Pandey, Hawk Force led by Sub Inspector Ravindra Uike, District Forces/Government Rail Police led by Sub Inspector Raghavendra Singh Sikarwar, Mahila (SAF and District Force) led by Sub Inspector Smt. Sandhya Shukla, Homeguard led by P.C. Smt. Abhiruchi Gaur, Jail Department (Men) led by Assistant Jail Superintendent Vikas Tiwari, Jail Department (Women) led by Assistant Jail Superintendent Smt. Manisha Yadav, N.C.C. (Army Wing) led by Senior Under Officer Harsh Chaturvedi, N.C.C. (Naval Wing) led by Senior Cadet Captain Akash Yadav, N.C.C. (Air Wing) led by Cadet Warrant Officer Kamlesh Sarathe, N.C.C. Army Division (Girls) led by Senior Under Officer Ravinath Tailang, Shaurya Dal led by Commander Smt. Prachi Mishra, Girls Guides led by Commander Smt. Anuradha Inwe, Boys Scouts led by Commander Om Singh Baghel and the Police Band led by Sub Inspector Sunil Katare took part in the parade. March past by an attractive fusion of S.T.F. Hawk force, Nagaland contingents besides small children of Scouts and Guides left the onlookers spellbound.
Chief Minister Chouhan presented 59 medals at a ceremony on the occasion of Independence Day. These include 3 Sarvottam Jeevan Rakshak Padak (Medal for Life Saving), 1 Uttam Jeevan Rakshak Padak, 6 President’s Vishisht Seva Padak for Police Department, 1 President’s Vishisht Seva for Homeguard and Nagrik Suraksha Padak, 31 President’s Sarahniya Seva Padak for Police Department, 10 Sarahniya Seva Padak for Jail Department, 4 Sarahniya Seva Padak for Homeguard and Nagrik Suraksha and 3 Jeevan Raksha Padak to police officers/employees.
