Group insurance scheme demand of mandi merchants to be fulfilled soon
AUG 23 (WTN) - The Madhya Pradesh government has agreed on the long pending demand of mandi Merchants' group insurance scheme. According to the information received from the media, the state government has decided that merchants will get claim through insurance companies if they died of get injured in accident during working in mandi.
According to the information, mandi board will also be party in the premium amount of insurance companies. In this plan, some of the premiums amount will also be given by traders. Tender and quotes have been called from the insurance companies to implement this scheme of benefits of merchants.
For your information, let you know that the traders have been demanding it for a long time. Merchants say that there is no provision of any government help for them while died or injured in accident working in mandi. The traders also demanded it from Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
On the demand of traders, the government has directed mandi board to prepare the outline of the group insurance scheme for the licensed merchants. It is being said that from January 1, 2019, the benefits of this scheme will be given to traders.
