Tatkal Seva to be introduced under Public Service Management

Meeting on simplification and reordering of government procedures held 

Bhopal: A meeting of State level committee, constituted for simplification and reordering of government procedures held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh.

Deliberations to include new services, expansion of Samadhan Ek Din, provision of Tatkal Seva for citizens and expansion of Lok Seva Kendras under the Public Service Guarantee Act took place in the meeting. Moreover, discussions to establish integrated portal system for services being provided by various departments through separate portals also held on this occasion. A presentation in connection to the National E-Governance Service Delivery Assessment was also given. The Additional Chief Secretary K.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Prabhanshu Kamal, Additional Chief Secretary Commercial Tax and Culture Manoj Shrivastava and Principal Secretaries of various departments were present in the meeting.

The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Public Service Management Department Hariranjan Rao has informed that department is considering for starting a Tatkal Seva by the name ‘Across the Counter’ for the convenience of common man. Under this, 20 basic services like providing copy of khasra copy will be provided immediately to the common man. Currently there are 133 offline services and efforts are being made to bring maximum services out of these services under the online service system.

Further during the meeting, discussions took place to include 7 services of Health and Family Welfare Department, 18 of Transport Department, 9 of Urban Development and services of other departments under the Public Service Guarantee Act. In addition to this, deliberations to reduce the time limit of 73 notified services of the Act and expansion of 35 services already existing in ‘Samadhan Ek Din’ up to new services held on the occasion. Information regarding strengthening of Lok Seva Kendras, infrastructure improvement, expansion and for establishing new 77 lok seva kendras was imparted in the meeting.-Window To News
