Dr. P.C. Manoria, chairman organising committee, informed this at a press conference organised here on Friday. He said that the workshop is being organised in association with International Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound with an objective to share latest techniques and developments in the field of echocardiogram. Echocardiogram is an essential part of diagnosis, prognosis and decision making to treat cardiac diseases. In order to give practical exposure around 50 live demonstrations will also be performed on patients.

Dr. Pankaj Manoria, secretary organising committee, said Echocardiography has become routinely used in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases. It is one of the most widely used diagnostic tests in cardiology. It can provide a wealth of helpful information, including the size and shape of the heart (internal chamber size quantification), pumping capacity, and the location and extent of any tissue damage. - Window To News
