Fusion music festival at Manav Sangrahalaya

Bhopal: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is organising 'Fusion-2018' a two days long festival of fusion music entitled as from 01st to 02nd December, 2018. India has a rich tradition of folk and tribal music which provides a special identity to the nation's culture. In this festival Guru Rewben Mashangva's popular Band 'King of Naga Folk Blues' from Manipur and Soulmate Band from Meghalaya will present fusion music daily at Veethi Sankul Amphitheatre of IGRMS from 6.30 pm.
Heritage walk
Today under World Heritage Week, a heritage walk was organised by IGRMS in which staff and visitors from IGRMS participated. Heritage walk was organised with an aim to educate people about protection, preservation and propagation of world heritage site as these are invaluable assets for humankind. In this occasion Prof. Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri, director, IGRMS said that, the visitor should give the correct information about the heritage site. This generates respect for heritage in the common people and they think to participate in the conservation and promotion of it, only then will people join this walk in large quantities and will try to preserve this legacy. The program was organized by Dr. P. Shankar Rao (Assistant Keeper). On this occasion plants were planted in collaboration with the Horticulture section of the museum.
Curatorial Talk
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is organising the next chapter of its popular series, Curatorial Talk Show on Tuesday, 27th November, 2018 from 3.30 pm at Rock Art Shelter Conference Hall. In this Curatorial Talk, Assistant Keeper of Manav Sangrahalaya, Dr. Rakesh Mohan Nayal will speak on "Culture and Traditions of Jaunsar-Bawar of Himalayan Region"
