Fusion music festival at Manav Sangrahalaya

Bhopal: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is organising 'Fusion-2018' a two days festival of fusion music entitled as from 1st to 2nd December, 2018. India has a rich tradition of folk and tribal music which provides a special identity to the nation's culture. In this festival three popular groups from Manipur and Meghalaya will present fusion music daily at Veethi Sankul Amphitheatre auditorium of IGRMS from 6.30 pm. The entry to the two day 'Fusion-2018' is free for all. The schedule of the programmes is as follows:-
On 1st December, 2018 with the performance of – ethnic folk and fusion maestro Guru Rewben Mashangva & his son Saka will give their performance in Bhopal. Guru RewbenMashangva born in a remote village of Choithar in Ukhrul district 11 kilometers from Ukhrul district headquarters, is one of the most popular and ingenious Naga musician of India. Known as 'King of Naga Folk Blues' by the public and 'Cultural Ambassador of the Nagas' by the journalist, Guru Rewben is truly a talented singer, musician, songwriter, folk music researcher and maker of musical instruments. He plays the guitar producing a ethnic folk sound like no one can, the mouth organ, the four hole flute known as yangkahui, the tingteila (folk fiddle) and his rare cow bell percussion.
On 2nd December, 2018 Soulmate is a famous Bluze Band which started its journey in February 2003 while performing their initial performance at Umiyam Water Sports Complex during Routes Festival. Soulmet get popularity and became famous in February, 2007 & during 23rd International Bluze Challenge, in 2010, organized by Bluze Foundation, America in the field of Jazz and Bluze Music, while representing India as a sole band. Soulmet was also Semi-finalist in Ground Zero Contest (2010) and at Ram Boogi Cafe in 2007, where approximately 150 Musicians and Bands participated from all over the world and during 2010-Window To News
