People’s Public School Celebrates Annual Sports Day

Bhopal: The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on 13 Dec 2018, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere at People’s Public School. Amidst great verve and camaraderie the students of the school participated in various sports events.

The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way marked with joy and discovering the inner talent of students in the field of sports.

The students and teachers were rewarded for the activities which were conducted throughout the year. Academic awards and all round performance awards were given to students from class 1 to 12th. Awards of best NCC cadet, artist of the year, and sports persons of the year were also given during the event.

The Guard of Honour was given by school band to the guests of the occasion. Asian Games 2018-19 – Bronze Medalist , Miss Harshita Tomar was the  Chief Guest . Arjun Awardee and Chief Coach MP Water Sports Academy,  Mr. G L Yadav was the Guest of Honour.
Trustees of People’s Group, Mrs. Savitri Vijaywargiya  and Mrs. Urmila Vijaywargiya graced the occasion with their august presence.
Manvendra Singh Yadav, Sport’s Captain led the March Past followed by Cabinet Squad, NCC Squad, and the Squad of four houses. The children were in full spirit and zeal and gave their best for all the races and events. Green House was judged the Best House for the March past.

Red House was awarded the Best House in Sports. Yellow House in Primary Wing and Red House in Secondary wing were awarded as the Cock House.

Principal Mrs. Manpreet Roy welcomed the guests and during the vote of thanks emphasized on the importance of sports in a student’s life.
