Folk dance- Bihar -1st, Himachal Pradesh-2nd and Tripura-3rd

Bhopal: The three day children's grand cultural festival 'National Balrang 2018' concluded today at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. The chief guest of the concluding ceremony was Jaishree Kiyawat,, (Commissioner, Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI), Bhopal) as the Chief Guest. This programme was chaired by Dilip Singh, ITS (Joint Director, IGRMS). R.S. Tomar (Joint Director, DPI) conveyed the audience about the Contests, programs held in the last 03 days. D. D. Saxena, Deputy Director, DPI gave the vote of thanks.
The school students from 19 states and 2 UTs participated in the national level folk dance competition. Out of which students from Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Tripura stood first, second and third respectively. The winning team students from Bihar performed Chhath festival through folklore and folk dance, they were awarded with Rs 51,000 and trophy, students from Himachal Pradesh performed the Renuka Mata Pooja by dance, they have been awarded with Rs 31,000 and trophy and students from Tripura performed Hozagiri dance and were awarded with Rs 21,000 cash and trophy. Students from the Jharkhand and Sikkim were awarded with consolation prize of Rs.5000/- and trophy.-Window To News
