Makar Sankranti is a cultural festival: PR Minister Sharma

Inaugurates 22nd Patang Utsav 

Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, Science and Technology, Aviation, Religious Trusts and Endowment, P.C. Sharma inaugurated today the 22nd Patang Utsav at Mandakini Ground, Kolar Road. He told kite flyers that Makar Sankranti is a cultural festival. On this occasion, Sharma also honoured five Patang Gurus. As many as 16 clubs participated in the Patang Utsav.

Sharma congratulated the President of the Aloukik Seva Samiti Vijay Shankar Dixit for organizing this programme. While extending greetings of Makar Sankranti to the people of the state, Sharma said that participation of every section of the society in Patang Utsav and offering Til Laddoos to each other reflect Ganga-Jamuni culture of Bhopal.

On this occasion, Sharma honoured Patangbaaz (Kite Flyers) of national and international stature Bhaiyya Bhai, Nasir Ansari, Laxminarayan Khandelwal, Chhote Miyan and Rehan Lakhnavi.-Window To News
