PR Minister Sharma attends Solidarity Day Programme
Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, Science and Technology, Aviation, Religious Trusts and Endowment P.C. Sharma participated in (Ekjutta Diwas) Solidarity Day Programme of Nomad, Semi-Nomad and Denotified community held at Gandhi Bhavan here today. Sharma said that these communities will not be displaced without giving them pucca house. A book ‘Vimukt, Ghumakkad aur Ardhghumakkad Janjati Rashtriya Aayog-2008 Renke Samiti ki Sifarishein’ was released at the programme.
Sharma mentioned that necessary arrangements will be made for education of children of nomad, semi-nomad and denotified communities. Employment opportunities will be provided to them too. An amount of Rs. 51 thousand to help them solemnise girls’ marriage will be provided. He stated that apart from this, pension of elderly and widows has been increased to Rs. One thousand from Rs. 300. On complaints regarding mistreatment by police to nomad community, Sharma said that an action will be taken to hold a meeting between police station in-charge of the concerned police stations and people of the community. Complaints related to mistreatment will be solved at the concerned District Collector and Superintendent of Police level too.
Those who present at the progarmme include representatives of Kuchbandiya Pardi, Kanjar, Bedia, Bagri, Sikligar, other nomad, semi-nomad and denotified tribes, Corporator Yogendra Singh Chouhan, Shivani Taneja of Shahri Mazdoor Sangathan, Bhopal, Legal Assistance Advocate Amay and Seema Deshmukh of Madhya Pradesh Vanchit Mahila Manch.-Window To News
