BSP MLA Ramabai demands to be the minister
Now coalition politics ‘strategy’ in Madhya Pradesh
JAN 23 (WTN) - Supporting the ruling party in Indian politics is of great importance and this importance increases even when each MLA of the supporting party counts. Something like this is happening in Madhya Pradesh nowadays. After 15 years with the support of two BSP legislators, Congress party is in power in Madhya Pradesh and the support of BSP has considerable significance. Knowing the importance of this, BSP legislator Ramabai, MLA from Patharia seat, has started showing her stance.
BSP MLA Ramabai, who is angry over not being appointed a minister, has been warning the Kamal Nath government, that she and other BSP MLAs should be included in the Council of Ministers soon. Fire brand BSP legislator Ramabai says that Congress has formed a government in Madhya Pradesh with the help of BSP president Mayawati, so the Congress party should make both the BSP legislators the minister.
BSP legislator Ramabai has clarified that everyone is observing Karnataka coalition government situation and she does not want to have the same situation here too. So if both the BSP legislators are not included in the Council of Ministers, she would strongly oppose it.
For your information, let you know that there are 230 MLAs in Madhya Pradesh assembly. In the recently concluded assembly elections Congress won 114 seats but remained 2 seats from the majority (116) figures. In the assembly elections, BJP won 109 seats. To keep the BJP away from power 2 BSP MLAs, 1 SP MLA and 4 independents MLAs have supported the Congress party.
From time to time, BSP legislator Ramabai is giving an example of Karnataka politics to Chief Minister Kamal Nath because even in Karnataka, no party has been able to get a full majority and there is a Congress and JDS coalition government going on. According to sources, it is said that from time to time the BJP in Karnataka is in full swing of change. In such a situation, the Congress government, which is running the coalition government in Madhya Pradesh, is shielding the crisis all the time, that the BJP may not be able to change power on the grounds of dissident MLAs, so BSP legislator Ramabai says that Chief Minister Kamal Nath should include BSP MLAs in the Council of Ministers or else the BJP may try to change power here.
However, the warning given by BSP MLA Ramabai to Chief Minister Kamal Nath can be a deliberate strategy. This is because Mayawati had demanded Kamal Nath government a few days ago that in the agitations which took place in protest against the SC-ST Act amendment on April 2, false lodged cases should be withdrawn against BSP workers. It may be possible that on the hidden order of Mayawati, MLA Ramabai has periodically threatened Chief Minister Kamal Nath to withdraw support.
