The government tightens up the people taking loans in the name of farmers

JAN 25 (WTN) - The Congress, prior to the assembly elections, had promised in Madhya Pradesh that after coming to the power the farmers’ loan will be waived of up to Rs 2 lakh. After assembly election, Congress came to power and Kamal Nath signed the first file of farmers' loan waiver scheme after taking oath as Chief Minister. With some conditions, the Congress started farmers' loan waiver scheme and named the scheme 'Jai Kisan Fasal Rin Maafi Yojna’. But with the speed, enthusiasm and propaganda the scheme was started, the faster the complaints are coming out while filling the application form in this scheme.

For your information, let you know that the process of filling the forms of farmers’ loan waiver scheme has started on since January 15, under which all the panchayats have prepared a list of borrower farmers. But in many places, these complaints have arisen that the farmers who have not taken loans, their names have also been shown in the list of borrowers.

A similar case came up in the Sagar district, where a farmer, named Mukundi (65) of Saradai village, was died due to heart attack because his name was in the list of borrower farmers while his family claims that he did not take loan

When the cases of fake surfaced, Kamal Nath government has now decided to take action against those who take loans in a fraudulent manner. Keeping in view the continuous growing complaints of fraud, a control room is being set up on all the district headquarters of the state including Bhopal. Here, the cooperative minister of the state, Dr. Govind Singh, has already given instructions for harsh action against people guilty of irregularities in prior sanctioned loans.

The farmers welfare and agriculture department are also preparing to take action against those who are involved in fraud. It has been said in the officially issued order that the farmers who have not taken loan but still have their names in the list of the debtors, so the forms are being submitted from them so that the problem can be corrected and this list will be prepared after 5th February and then the co-operative department will investigate against fraudulent.
