Smart villages to be made like Smart Cities

JICA Mission Team meets CM Kamal Nath 

Bhopal: A delegation of JICA Mission met Chief Minister Kamal Nath today. Nath held discussion with the delegation in connection to make smart villages on the lines of smart cities. The Chief Minister gave instructions in the meeting that implementation of projects should be ensured at the earliest by completing all the formalities after examining the proposed projects, so that projects could be completed within the next 3 years. Moreover, Kamal Nath expressed hope before the delegation for its investment in Mono Rail Project, Forest Conservation, Joint Forest Management and Bio-Diversity project. The Chief Secretary S.R. Mohanty was present on the occasion.

It was informed by the delegation that consent has been given by Japan to provide financial assistance for execution of Group Water Supply Schemes in Madhya Pradesh. A project costing Rs. 3 thousand crore is proposed for financial assistance from JICA. Under the project, potable water will be made available through domestic tap connection to about 20 lakh rural population of 1735 villages of 9 blocks of Mandsaur, Neemuch and Ratlam district.

Misato Takahasi-Country Officer, Kazunori Nakai-Engineer, Kenichiro Iwahori-Programme Specialist, Suborto Talukdar-Principal Development Specialist, Mayasuki Fuji of JICA Consultant Firm Nippon Koei Company Ltd., Team Leader Risa Kikuchi, Sub-Leader Hidehisa Tamura, Akiro Natori of Facility Planning, Operation and Maintenance were part of the JICA delegation.-Window To News
