VK Singh becomes new DGP of the state; controlling over the deteriorating law and order to be a major responsibility

JAN 30 (WTN) - Angered by bad law and order situation in the state, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has made a major change in the police department by replacing DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla. Now VK Singh will be the new DGP of the state. It is said that since the assassination cases of Indore, Mandsaur and Ratlam, there was continuous questioning on the law and order situation of the state, after which CM Kamal Nath took the big step and removed DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla and handed over the command of the Police Department to Vijay Kumar Singh.

The state government has sent Rishi Kumar Shukla as a director in the police housing board. For your information, let you know that 1984 batch IPS officer VK Singh was at the top of seniority in his batch. On the vacation period of Rishi Kumar Shukla during the assembly elections, VK Singh was in-charge DGP.

During the assembly elections when Rishikumar Shukla was on the vacation from October 16 to November 30, this time VK Singh had in charge of the functioning of the DGP, and the assembly elections were held while VK Singh was DGP in charge.

The new DGP of Madhya Pradesh VK Singh has been officer on many posts along with SP of many districts. He had also been on deputation in the center for a long time. For your information, let you know that this is the first time in the state when a senior officer has been removed from the DGP post and one batch junior officer has been appointed the DGP. Former DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla is a 1983 batch IPS officer while VK Singh is the IPS officer of the 1984 batch.
