JAN 30 (WTN) - Angered by bad law and order situation in the state, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has made a major change in the police department by replacing DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla. Now VK Singh will be the new DGP of the state. It is said that since the assassination cases of Indore, Mandsaur and Ratlam, there was continuous questioning on the law and order situation of the state, after which CM Kamal Nath took the big step and removed DGP Rishi Kumar Shukla and handed over the command of the Police Department to Vijay Kumar Singh.
The state government has sent Rishi Kumar Shukla as a director in the police housing board. On the vacation period of Rishi Kumar Shukla during the assembly elections, VK Singh was in-charge DGP.
