Administers oath of leprosy eradication to students
Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, Science and Technology, Aviation, Religious Trust and Endowments, P.C. Sharma today administered oath to students at Government Kamla Nehru Higher Secondary School to eradicate leprosy from the roors. He said that leprosy is similar to other diseases, which can be cured by treatment. It is not infectious and does not spread by touch. Sharma also distributed awards to students for their best efforts in this direction on the occasion.
While inaugurating a leprosy awareness campaign under National Leprosy Eradication Programme, Public Relations Minister Sharma said that the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi himself had served leprosy patients. He had given the message that this disease does not spread by touch. Remembering Gandhiji on his death anniversary he said to the students that they should practice before they preach. This is included in the basic principles of Gandhiji. He called upon the students to work with dedication and determination.
Administers oath for leprosy eradication
Minister Sharma administered oath to the students of the school that they will mete out equal treatment to all the leprosy victims or leprosy-free families. They will respect the leprosy cases and will not subject them to any kind of discrimination. They will extend cooperation in the treatment of leprosy patients. They will make constantly strive to make villages, state and the country leprosy-free. Along with the Health Department Sharma told them to vow to free all 220 leprosy cases present in Bhopal from the disease in the next one year.
Sparsh Abhiyan inaugurated
The Public Relations Minister inaugurated Sparsh Abhiyan in the school. He shook hands with leprosy cases Javed and Nafees. With this gesture he spread the message that shaking hands or being with leprosy cases does not affect a normal person.
Blackboards and chairs gifted to school students Joint organizer of the programme Bhopal Classic Lions Club gifted two blackboards to the students. Executive president of Madhya Pradesh Class III Association Pramod Tiwari who was present during the programme gave approval to grant 200 chairs to the students.-Window To News
