Lok Sabha elections: Officers posted in home district from three years to be transferred instantly

FEB 01 (WTN) - For the Lok Sabha elections, the preparations have increased in the entire state including Bhopal. According to VL Kantarao, Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh, “Preparations are being finalized for the Lok Sabha elections and after the claim and objection in the voter list, the voter list will be published from February 22.”

According to the information, the Election Commission of India has issued some guidelines regarding the Lok Sabha elections. The Election Commission of India has written a letter to the Chief Secretary and the DGP of the state and said that officers, who had completed more than three years in their home district, should be transferred immediately. After which the list of such officials is being prepared now and they will be transferred soon.

According to the Chief Electoral Officer, the work of finalizing the voter list is continuing at fast way. As you know, recently the voter list was prepared for the assembly elections held in Madhya Pradesh, now the same voter list is being updated.

To update the voter list, it was time given for claim and objection from December 26 to January 25. During this time, any person could add, delete and correct their name. After the completion of this process, the publication of the voter list will start from February 22; and the Lok Sabha elections will be held on the basis of the same voter list.

Not only this, the Election Commission is going to give training to all collectors of the state for two days from today. In this training, the collectors will be trained in detail about the process related to the elections. In addition, collectors will also be cleared about their roles and responsibilities.
