Terracotta Glaze Pottery Workshop beginning at IGRMS

WTN- Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya under its the series of skill development programme commenced the training workshop of Terracotta Glaze Pottery making workshop till 31st December, 2019 at IGRMS campus. In this workshop artist, Dulal Chandra Manna is imparting training of this art. On this occasion, Joint Director, IGRMS, Dilip Singh, Participant and senior official of IGRMS formally inaugurated Museum’s training workshop.
On this occasion, Rashmi Shukla (Programme Coordinator) told that, In the first phase of this workshop hands on training for making, shaping, trimming and final finishing of the terracotta will be given. In the second phase the biscuit firing at temperature of 800 degree Fahrenheit will be taught. The final phase will be confined to the glaze making of pottery and firing in the kiln at 105 degree – 1100 degree Fahrenheit temperature. After completion of the workshop certificates will be awarded to the participants.
Vigilance Awareness Week-2019
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is observing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week-2019’ from 28th October to 02nd November, 2019 in which various competitions and programmes are being organized. To promote integrity and transparency in employees Slogan writing competition were organized. This competition was organized by Dr. Surya Kumar Pandey (Assistant Keeper). Above 20 participants participated in this competition and they wrote the various Slogan on the given topic. That slogan will upload on social media page of IGRMS.
In the series, on 02nd November, 2019 Sangrahalaya will organize a Special lecture from 4pm at Rock art conference Hall. In this, Lecture will be delivered by Sunil Gautam (Director (Hydro-I), Ministry of Power, GoI, New Delhi) on the topic “Vigilance & Awareness”.- Window To News
