Vishwa Rang 2019 begins with the fragrance of Tagore’s Art and literature

WTN- Bhopal’s first international art and literature festival Vishawa Rang starts from Monday at Rabindranath Tagore University. The attraction of the first day was a ballet on Gitanjali which is a collection of Tagore’s poems. Including over 90 dancers on stage who ages between 6 to 25, Gitanajli proved a package of cultural delight to the audience as it indulged the traditional dance of various states of India.
Directed by Shweta Devendra and Kshama Malviya the ballet included 8 different performances which were based on the different dance form such as Kathak, Contemporary, Garba, Bangali, Freestyle, Bharatnatyam and others. Anoop Joshi’s beautiful light work enhanced the beauty of whole performance which ends when the 90 dancers came together on stage and danced on Tagore’s famous creation “Ekla Chalo re”.
Every poem depicts a story
Based on Tagore’s Gitanjali, every poem in 45 minutes long ballet depicted a story with a moral such as “Ami Bhoe Karbo naa” is a story of a girl who claims that I am not afraid of anyone. Followed by another poem Danej Dalni it was a powerful prayer of Goddess Durga. Stagged by the little girl dancers, Rim Jhim is a poem which depicts the beauty and joy of rain.
Rabindra Nath Tagore could have won Nobel in every field, says Laalji Tandon
The governor of Madhya Pradesh Laalji Tandon inaugurated Vishwa Rang 2018. While addressing the audience he spoke about Tagore where he said that there is no other personality in the world who is master of all field, wherever Tagore showed his interest he could have won a Nobel there.
A detailed presentation on Tagore’ paintings
A session on Tagore’s painting also held on the first day of Vishwa Rang which focused on painting. In the session, Ashoke Bhowmick who known as a master of cross-hatching gave a detailed presentation on changes in painting before Tagore and the diversity of Tagore’s painting who introduced fantasised painting era. With his presentation, Bhowmick differentiates the style of Tagore’s paintings as portraits, lyrical paintings, geometry, landscapes, spacing and others.- Window To News
