MPER Alert System will help in searching lost children

Bhopal: In the upcoming days, the safe recovery of children lost during the natural calamities and emergency situations will be ensured through MPERAS (Madhya Pradesh Emergency Response Alert System) in the state. A MPER Alert System is being developed in this regard. The Minister for Public Relations, Science and Technology P.C. Sharma saw the presentation of the alert system being developed jointly by BSNL and MAP IT for the prompt transmission of information today.
The Project Director of MAP IT Frank Nobel A informed that the MPER System conforming to the AMBER ALERT of America is being developed by adopting high technology in cooperation with the BSNL. The concerned officers while elaborating on various features of the system informed that the Home department (Police), Water Resources, Disaster Management, Revenue Department and Agriculture Department will have an important role in the proposed system. During any calamity, fresh information and photographs will be made available on the website of the agency for the media and common man after activating the MPER alert.
Through this system, in case of emergency, an emergency tone will be heard during the television and radio broadcast. The information in connection to the usefulness of the MPER Alert system has also been given, keeping in view the wide reach of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter among the common people.- Window To News
