Participants from 22 countries visited IGRMS

Bhopal, Nov 5 2019: IGRMS is dedicated to portray story of mankind in time and space. In this connection, an International Training Programme on “Formal Solutions to Informal Settlements” under ITEC programme conducted by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and organized by Human Settlement Institute of Urban Development Corporation Limited in which students of 29 participants board from 22 countries viz.  Afghanistan, Botswana, Ethiopia, Fiji, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritius, Mongolia, Myanmar, Malawi, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Srilanka, Sudan, South Sudan, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago have participated. Today these students paid museum visit.

In the beginning of programme Dr. Surya Kumar Pandey (Assistant Keeper) gave introduction of museum followed by documentary film of IGRMS. Thereafter, they visited Rock Art Heritage Centre, Tribal Habitat, Indoor Gallery of Veethi Sankul and Library of museum under the guidance of senior curatorial staffs viz. Dr. P. Shankar Rao, (Assistant Keeper), Srikant Gupta (Museum Associate), Shri N. Shakmacha Singh (Museum Associate) and Garima Anand Dubey (Museum Associate). During this education visit, students were addressed with the importance and uniqueness of IGRMS by Dilip Singh, Joint Director (A&S) and D.S. Rao, Head of Office.
