Minister Sharma lays foundation for drain, road, shed construction works worth Rs 50 lakhs
Bhopal 08 Feb 2020: Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs Minister P.C. Sharma today laid the foundation stone for construction of drains, roads and shed costing Rs 50 lakh in 6 settlements of Chuna Bhatti and Harshvardhan Nagar areas. While performing bhoomi-pujan of the road, drain construction of Kolar Colony, Chhatrapati Shivaji Colony and Durga Nagar Basti of Chuna Bhatti area Minister Sharma said that these settlements are occupied by weak and middle class families. He was apprised by the residents with the sewage and approach problem following lack of road in the colony during the Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar tour. Sharma informed that instructions have been given to the concerned authorities in this regard and work is starting from today. Sharma also performed bhoomi-pujan at two places near the temple in Durga Nagar.
Minister Sharma told that during his visit to Pampapur and Harshvardhan Nagar localities he witnessed the hardships being faced by the residents due to lack of drainage of sewage water during the rainy season. Meanwhile, the officials were instructed to construct drains for sewage. Along with construction of drains, channelization work is also being undertaken in Pampapur area of Harshvardhan Nagar. Sharma assured the residents of Pampapur that they will not have to face the problem of waterlogging in the rainy season. He also performed bhoomi pujan of road construction work in Harshvardhan Nagar.
