Multinational company IBM gives the career guidance to the students at People's University
FEB 24 (WTN) - A one-day IBM-ICE DAY seminar at People's University, Bhopal, famous for students' career guidance and placement, was successfully held at the Seminar Hall of SORT (School of Research and Technology) at People's University. Mr. Viqaruddin Surki, Head, Delivery Account Management, STG Systems Agenda Delivery, IBM India, and Assistant Vice President (Business), Trans Neuron Technology, Sangeeta Anand was the chief guest in the seminar, which was inspiring for the students in the technical field. Akhilesh Mittal, Dean (Student Welfare), People's University, , Ankit Dwivedi , GM, People's University, and Vice Principal of SORT Piyush Soni were also present in the seminar.
In his address at the seminar, Viqaruddin Surki gave guidance to the students with his positive address about the career. In his address, Surki said that now, India's economy is not growing at the rapid pace at which it should grow. While India's GDP growth is only around 3 percent globally, GDP growth at the national level is close to 5 percent only. But Surki further said that the economy would improve soon, and there would be excellent employment opportunities.
Surki called upon the students to say that it is very important to be optimistic and disciplinary in life. Surki gave detailed information about how students should use the internet and social media. While addressing the students, Surki explained that before posting or commenting on social media, everything should be considered well, as companies monitor social media activities of their employees nowadays. While praising People's University, Surki said that all the students in the university in the technical field are very talented.
Addressing the program, Dean, Student Welfare, Akhilesh Mittal said that India's economy had become the fifth largest economy in the world, surpassing France and Britain. And in the coming days, India's GDP growth would see a boom. In his inspirational address to the students, Akhilesh Mittal said that in the coming times, qualified youth would get excellent opportunities for jobs, but for this, youth would have to prepare themselves. Mittal further said that companies focus most on PQ (Physical Quotient), SQ (Social Quotient), IQ (Intelligence Quotient), and EQ (Emotional Quotient) capabilities among the youth nowadays. While addressing the students, Akhilesh Mittal said that everyone should keep themselves fit as well as their activities on social media should be effective.
