People’s University Bhopal embraces renewable energy

People's University moves towards renewable source of electrical power generation

JUNE 09 (WTN) - Understanding the need of the hour and importance of renewable sources of energy generation as a part of corporate social responsibility, Bhopal based People's University  on the occasion of World Environment Day commended 810 KWp of Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant in association with New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. World Bank and International Solar Alliance has appreciated this joint project.

“As a responsible member of society, we moved towards renewable source of electrical power generation " said Suresh Vijaywargia, Chancellor People's University . 

“We shall continue to be mindful of our social and moral responsibilities towards resource efficient greening of Indian economy. Our effort shall help to combat environmental degradation and natural resource depletion" said Megha Vijaywargia, Director  Peoples Group. She added that we are continually reviewing and improving our efforts to lessen human impact on the environment and this endeavor will also help in mitigating climate change and meeting increasing demand for energy.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajesh Kapur appreciated this effort. Prof. Akhilesh Mittal coordinated this installation.
