Universities should be linked to research.

There are 39,574 gauvansh among the gaushalas that are being operated. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that it is more important that gauvansh are taken good care of rather than developing new gaushalas. Animal Husbandry Department should ensure action in this regard.
Operations should be conducted through SHGs

Construction of gau-kasht, puja material, vermi compost
Additional Chief Secretary Kansotia told that gau kasht, cow dung cakes for puja, vermi compost manure etc. are being made from cow dung. There are plans to make gau-ark from gau-mutra. The process of opening research centre there is also on. There are currently 3974 gauvansh in the cow-sanctuary, of which 82 cows are milching cows.
Work towards making gaushalas self-sufficient
Chief Minister Chouhan said that work should be done in the direction of making the gaushalas self-sufficient. A Gau-products Research Centre should be opened in Salaria Cow-Sanctuary. Solar-power generation can also be planned.
Devotees should operate, government should support
Chief Minister Chouhan said that public participation is most essential for better operation of gaushalas. Arrangements should be made for the operation of gaushalas in the state in such a way that devotees should run the gaushalas and the government should support it – Window to News
