Decline in Corona infection rate
Bhopal 05 December 2020: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the measures to prevent Corona infection with the active cooperation of the state government and society have been effective. The rate of infection is on the decline. But there should be no laxity. Efforts must to be continued with full caution.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a meeting in Mantralaya for prevention of Corona infection. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary also took part in the meeting. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang joined the meeting through video conference. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman and officials were present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that more care should be taken to prevent infection in Bhopal and Indore. Chief Minister Chouhan sought information about the availability of beds, equipment, oxygen in private and government hospitals in these two districts. It was informed that adequate arrangements are available. Chief Minister Chouhan inquired about the measures for prevention of Corona infection in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ratlam, Vidisha and Dhar and expressed satisfaction.
Chief Minister Chouhan sought specific information regarding the work being done to prevent Corona infection in Indore and Bhopal districts. He said that special care should be taken in these two districts and all efforts should be made for public awareness and to follow the Corona Protocol. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the collectors of Indore and Bhopal should talk to District Level Crisis Management Group. If there is consensus on increasing the time of closing the markets from 8 pm to 10 pm, then the markets should be closed in these two cities at 10 pm. In the meeting, Indore Collector informed that the infection has spread because of increased crowd due to festivals and weddings. Efforts are being made to control the crowd with the help of the community and its positive results are expected soon.
Maintain constant contact with Corona patients in home isolation
Chief Minister Chouhan said that live contact should be maintained with Corona patients in home isolation. If need arises, there should no delay in shifting them to the hospital. It was told that 62 percent Corona patients are under home isolation in the state. The remaining patients are in hospitals. There is adequate arrangement of beds, oxygen, equipment etc. in the hospitals.
Results were good where caution was maintained
Chief Minister Chouhan said that wherever caution has been taken towards Corona, the outcome has been positive. Therefore, masks should be worn, safe distance should be maintained and hands should be washed with soap frequently. Patients living in home isolation should not leave the house. The government will leave no stone unturned in providing proper treatment to every Corona patient. He sought information about the activities of the Command Control centres.
Recovery rate is 92.1 percent
It was told in the meeting that there are 13532 active cases in the state. An average of 1403 Corona-infected patients are being diagnosed every day. The recovery rate of Corona infected patients has increased to 92.1 percent. The average positivity rate is 5.5 percent – Window to News
