CM Chouhan holds discussion with ministers on state’s development

Bhopal 05 January 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today held a detailed discussion with the members of the Cabinet in the Forest department’s rest house at Kolar Dam on the development of the state, prompt implementation of the roadmap of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, implementation of departmental schemes, good governance, public welfare etc. During the discussion, he expressed happiness over the departmental preparations made by the ministers and said that if work continues in the state with the same enthusiasm and speed, then the day is not far when Madhya Pradesh will be the best state in India.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Kolar reservoir area is full of natural beauty and attracts tourists easily. In terms of tourism, the Kolar reservoir area will be developed like Hanuvantiya.

Home Department - Effective Action against Mafia

Chief Minister Chouhan said during the discussion with Home Minister Narottam Mishra that effective action is being taken against various mafias in the state. The recently introduced Religious Freedom Ordinance will prove to be a boon for girls. The government will soon introduce a new law for strict action against stone-pelting. Home Minister Narottam Mishra informed the Chief Minister about the departmental activities in detail.

Department of Public Service Management - Good governance is our top priority

During the discussion with Public Service Management Minister i Arvind Bhadoria, Chief Minister Chouhan said that good governance is our top priority in the state. Good governance means that the services are received in a stipulated time period without any give and take from the public. For this, people do not have to wander from pillar to post. Public service guarantee scheme is being implemented well in the state.

Health Department – over one crore 70 lakh Ayushman Yojana cards made

Chief Minister Chouhan said during the discussion with Health Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary that free medical facilities of up to Rs. five lakhs are provided to every poor under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state. It is a matter of joy that this scheme has been well implemented in Madhya Pradesh and more than one crore 70 lakh cards have been made. The Chief Minister said that people should also be made aware about the scheme so that they can take full advantage of it.

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises O.P. Sakhlecha during the discussion with Chief Minister Chouhan informed that clusters of furniture, confectionery, readymade garments etc. are being developed near Indore. Around two thousand industrial units will be set up in Malwa region by the end of this year, which will provide employment to one lakh people. Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the work and said that efforts should be made to invite maximum investment in every district. IT parks of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior will be further developed and more and more jobs will be created from them.

Department of Higher Education - Colleges should be named after great personalities

Chief Minister Chouhan said during the discussion with Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav that the names of colleges in Madhya Pradesh should be named after great persoanlities. Shri Mohan Yadav told Chief Minister Chouhan that Madhya Pradesh is the only state in India where undergraduate and postgraduate examinations were conducted during the Corona period. There are plans to start 200 new colleges in the state in the coming time. This will include animal husbandry and agricultural colleges also. “Placement Officers” are being created in every district to provide maximum employment to educated youth through employment fairs. Self-finance has been permitted to 732 colleges in the state.

Forest Department - Forests of Madhya Pradesh give oxygen to other states

Forest Minister Vijay Shah told Chief Minister Chouhan during the discussion that the forests of Madhya Pradesh give pure air and oxygen to other states. Recently, the Andaman and Nicobar government has given Rs 500 crore to Madhya Pradesh for planting trees. Now twice as many tourists are enjoying “Buffer mein safar” in our national parks. “Night Safari” has also started in Pench, Bandhavgarh and Satpura National Parks. “Hot air balloons” have been started in many places. Madhya Pradesh, which was earlier only the “Tiger State”, is now moving towards becoming “Leopard State” and “Gharial State”. The work of conserving vultures is also being done. Work is being done in the direction of employment from forests. Pattas of ponds are being given free of cost for fisheries in forest areas. Now permission for employment on forest land will be available online. Chief Minister Chouhan appreciated the efforts.

Revenue and Transport Department - IT based survey should be done

Chief Minister Chouhan said during a discussion with Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput that an IT based survey of disaster damage should be conducted in the state which will make the work quick and errorless. Patwaris are being given laptops. Rajput informed that now “block chain technique” and “course method” will be used for demarcation work. The Transport Minister said that “panic buttons” are now being installed in public vehicles to extend support in times of emergency. “Vehicle location command and control centres” are being built for its control.

Medical Education and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Department - High Level Gas Tragedy Memorial in Bhopal

During the discussion, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang told the Chief Minister that there is a plan to build a high level gas tragedy memorial in Bhopal. Efforts are being made to provide better facilities in medical colleges of the state. “Clinical Medicine Course” and “Bio Labs” will be started there. “Mareez Mitra Yojana” will also be launched. Chief Minister Chouhan said that every medical college should be state-of-the-art and excellent in terms of medicine.

Department of Agriculture - MSP now with MRP also

During the discussion, Chief Minister Chouhan was informed by Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel that farmers are now getting MSP (Minimum Support Price) as well as MRP (Maximum Retail Price) facility. The provisions of Model Mandi Act are being implemented by the department. Farmers are being given subsidy on cold storage. We will achieve the goal of doubling farmers’ income by 2022.

AYUSH Department - Super Specialty Hospital to be built

Minister of State for AYUSH Ramkishore Kanwre told the Chief Minister that a super specialty hospital for AYUSH system of medicine will be made. During the Corona period, the Department of AYUSH played an important role in prevention of Corona through distribution of kadha etc.

Urban Development and Housin Department - Take action to legalize old illegal colonies

Chief Minister Chouhan during a discussion with Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh said that action should be taken regarding the legalization of old illegal colonies. Strict action should be taken on illegal colony construction in future. A strict law should also be made in this regard. Minister Bhupendra Singh said that Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the Street Vendor Scheme and the target of benefiting five lakh beneficiaries will be met soon. Property tax will be decided according to Collector guidelines.

New and Renewable Energy Department - Floating Solar Plant at Omkareshwar

Chief Minister Chouhan said during a discussion with the Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Hardeep Singh Dang that the 600 MW floating solar plant to be built at a cost of Rs 300 crore in Omkareshwar will be unique and the world’s largest solar plant of its kind. Future energy is solar energy. Minister Shri Dang informed that solar plants of Neemuch, Agar and Shajapur are ready. The target is to install 25 thousand solar pumps in the state, out of which five thousand 343 have been installed. Free electricity will be provided to farmers who set up solar plants on wastelands under “Kusum Yojana”.

Tribal Welfare Department - 26 thousand pattas of forest rights distributed

During the discussion, Tribal Welfare Minister Sushri Meena Singh told Chief Minister Chouhan that pattas of forest rights have been distributed to 26 thousand tribal families in the state. Every eligible person will get forest rights’ pattas. As many as 300 students of the tribal class were given free coaching, out of which 200 have been selected in JEEE and NEET examinations. Classes IXth to XIIth have been made smart classes in tribal areas in the state. Tribal dialects are being developed in the state.

Food Department – Over 25 thousand “One Nation One Ration Card”

Food Minister i Bisahulal Singh told the Chief Minister during the discussion that ration cards of more than 25 thousand laborers moving out of the state have been made under the "One Nation One Ration Card" scheme. Fair price ration has been provided to 37 lakh new poor families in the state by issuing eligibility slips. A food festival will be held at every fair price shop on January 7th. Singh informed that in paddy procurement so far 25 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured this year which is three times more compared to last year.

Horticulture and Food Processing Department - Cold storage facilities given to farmers

During the discussion, Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Bharat Singh Kushwaha told the Chief Minister that horticulture crops are being promoted in the state. Farmers will be provided with girdavari facility to make an estimate of their crops. Horticulture farmers will be provided with small cold storage facilities to keep crops safe.

nvestment Promotion - Employment of 25 percent women in industries


During the discussion, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajwardhan Singh Dattigaon told the Chief Minister that efforts are being made to provide employment to 25 percent women in the industries of the state. The 1600 km long Varanasi-Mumbai corridor, and the 1400 km long Indore-Visakhapatnam corridor, will greatly benefit the industries here. Chief Minister Chouhan said that there are good investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. Industry and MSMEs departments should work together to attract maximum investment.

Backward Class and Minority Welfare Department - 524 O.B.C. hostels will be made

During the discussion, Backward Class and Minority Welfare Minister Ramkhelavan Patel told the Chief Minister that 524 new Other Backward Class hostels will be built in the state. The “Chhatragriha Yojana” will be expanded at every block level.

Positive outcome of campaign against adulteration

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the campaign against adulteration in the state has brought good results. FIRs against 102 adulterators, action under National Security Act against 16 persons and licenses of 25 traders were revoked. 12 thousand tests were conducted through division level laboratories.

“Ayushman Bharat-Niramay Madhya Pradesh”

Chief Minister Chouhan said that every citizen of the state will be provided with better health facilities. Our aim will be Ayushman Bharat-Niramay Madhya Pradesh. District hospitals will be strengthened and medical colleges will be made excellent. Fever clinics will be made effective for primary treatment of every disease.

Work by creating groups of departments

Chief Minister Chouhan asked the ministers to work by forming groups of departments for better implementation of government schemes. Departments of similar nature should be put together. Education groups, agriculture groups, employment groups, good governance groups, women empowerment groups, construction groups and health groups can be formed.

Do not stress - give better results

Chief Minister Chouhan asked the ministers not to be under any stress and give better results. “Whenever I stay in Bhopal I will communicate with one minister every day.” Repeated transfers should not be done in the departments. The transfer policy of Haryana should be studied.

Maintain contact with the media

Finance Department - Good condition in GST collection

During the discussion, Finance Minister Jagdish Deora told the Chief Minister that the state of GST storage in the state is good and the state has also been praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this. He thanked Chief Minister Chouhan for good financial management during the Corona period. Chief Minister Chouhan said that efforts should be made to get maximum amount from the Government of India under various schemes.

Urban Development and Housing Department - Annual fees from commercial complexes

Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing O.P.S. Bhadoria told that commercial complexes in urban areas will be charged an annual fee. Urban self-help groups will be empowered. Efforts will be made to increase the yield of flowers and spices.

Animal Husbandry, Social Justice Department - Kanyadaan Yojana will be applicable as before

In a discussion with Animal Husbandry Minister rem Singh Patel, Chief Minister Chouhan said that the previous government had stopped giving benefits of Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana to the beneficiaries. This scheme will be re-implemented in the state. He lauded the department for the progress made in the vaccination of state’s cattle Chouhan gave instructions to encourage gaushalas and be made self-reliant.
School Education Department – Teachers not being present in schools is a major sin

During the discussion with School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar Chief Minister Chouhan told to ensure the presence of teachers in government schools. The absence of teachers in schools is a great sin. School Education Minister informed that uniforms will be given in government schools through self-help groups. School alumni will be connected to the school and the tradition of public representatives, officials taking classes in schools will be resumed.

Tourism, Culture and Spirituality Department - Waterways from Maheshwar to Statue of Unity

During the discussion, Tourism Minister Sushri Usha Thakur told Chief Minister Chouhan that the department is contemplating the construction of a waterway from Maheshwar to “Statue of Unity” in Gujarat and from Bhopal to Hanuvantiya. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Atal ji’s memorial will be built in Gwalior, statue of Acharya Shankaracharya in Omkareshwar and Bharat Mata Mandir will be constructed in Bhopal. Support will be given to the construction of Sita Mata Temple in Sri Lanka and development of Ram Van Gaman Path. He gave instructions to maintain 70 thousand maths and temples in the state.

Energy Department - Action against big power thieves

Chief Minister Chouhan said during the discussion with Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar that action should be taken against big power defaulters in the state. The Energy Minister informed that ITI pass persons will be provided training for lineman’s work.. Route of meter readers will be changed.
