CM Chouhan takes meeting of Board of Directors of M.P Jal Nigam
Bhopal 19 January 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Jal Jeevan Mission is an ambitious scheme of the government. Tap water has to be supplied directly from house to house in 3 years through the mission. Special attention should be paid to the quality of work and feedback of the public in the implementation of the mission. The ‘feedback’ should not only be official but should be taken through two or three other mediums. Chief Minister Chouhan said that much work has been undertaken in the state through group tap water scheme. The areas which had been left out under this, should be taken under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Chief Minister Chouhan was taking a meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam in Mantralaya today. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering Brijendra Singh Yadav, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary ICP Keshari, Additional Chief Secretary S.N. Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary Malay Srivastava , Principal Secretary Manoj Govil etc. were present in the meeting.
Works done under Jal Jeevan Mission in the state at a fast pace
Chief Minister Chouhan said that work has been done at a rapid pace in the state under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The Mission started work in the state last month and today we rank third in the country. Efforts should be made to be No. 1 in the country.
