Universities and colleges will adopt villages to get development work done

Higher Education Minister Dr. Yadav calls on CM Chouhan over tea 
 
Bhopal 27 January 2021: Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today called on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today and gave information about implementation of departmental schemes and proposed schemes. Chief Minister Chouhan described the innovations of Higher Education Department as commendable in the context of new education policy.

Minister Dr. Yadav said that all universities and colleges will adopt a village and keep themselves apprised with the status of the implementation of welfare schemes in the village. This will lead to better implementation of development works in the village. The role of Vice Chancellor, Principal and students will be important for the development of the village. This initiative will be taken soon.

Elimination of social evils

During the discussion over tea, Dr. Yadav informed Chief Minister Chouhan that apart from the development of the area, the colleges will also come forward to work for the elimination of social evils. Youth power will be used in this work. Prior to this, units of National Service Scheme have been doing such activities on certain conditions.

Focus on quality

Higher Education Minister Dr. Yadav informed Chief Minister Chouhan about the arrangements made for higher education during the Corona period and the necessary arrangements being made after obtaining permission to take examinations this year. Dr. Yadav said that there will be no compromise on quality in higher education. The department is focusing on the quality of teaching in each institution.

New courses to prepare for self-employment

The Higher Education Minister informed that some other innovations are also being made, under which the Higher Education Department will start some courses that will prepare rural youth for self-employment and placement in various institutions. This will reduce dependence on government jobs. Efforts are being made to start employment oriented courses especially related to agriculture and animal husbandry.
