Bhopal 03 February 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed in a review meeting held in Mantralaya that smooth power supply should be maintained in cities and villages in the state. There has been a spurt in redressal of complaints of power consumers which is commendable. This situation should be maintained. From the electrical lineman to the engineer, all must be prepared for action. The problems of all categories of power consumers, including farmers and urban citizens, should be resolved immediately.

Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the departmental officers to work with full alertness in public interest. He also appreciated the reduction in transmission losses and asked to continue efforts to minimize this loss. Chief Minister Chouhan stressed the need to carry out awareness campaign focused on the economical use of electricity and vigilance and alertness of power consumers. Capacity addition of thermal power plants was also discussed in the meeting.

Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar informed the Chief Minister about the works, innovations and future plans of the department. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Manish Rastogi, Principal Secretary Finance Manoj Govil and other officials were present in the meeting – Window to News
