Virtual dedication/ bhoomi pujan of 19 water supply schemes worth Rs 366.29 crore by CM Chouhan
Bhopal 05 February 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that work is being done at a rapid pace to make every city of the state beautiful, clean and equipped with basic facilities. A five-year roadmap is being prepared for each city, according to which planned development will take place. The government is trying to ensure that everyone has a concrete house in the cities. Loan of Rs 10 thousand without interest and guarantee is being provided to roadside vendors.
Chief Minister Chouhan virtually dedicated and performed bhoomi-pujan of 19 water supply schemes of various urban bodies in Mantralaya through video conferencing. Of these, 12 schemes worth Rs 225 crore were dedicated and bhoomi pujan of 7 schemes worth Rs 142 crore were performed. Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing O.P.S Bhadoria was also present in the video conference.
Every eligible family must possess Ayushman card
Chief Minister Chouhan said that every eligible family in the state should get their Ayushman cards made. With an Ayushman card, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh a year is also available in identified private hospitals.
Every city should be ahead in cleanliness
Chief Minister Chouhan said that efforts should be made to ensure that every city is ahead in cleanliness. Health is directly related to cleanliness. Sewerage system is being developed in all cities. A de-addiction campaign should also be started along with the cleanliness campaign.
Previously hand pumps were used for water, now water is coming out of taps
Chief Minister Chouhan interacted with citizens of urban bodies through video conference. Manju Kushwaha, a citizen of Guna, told that earlier she had to fetch water from the hand pump, now they have tap water facility at home.
Now we have daily water supply through Narmada Drinking Water Scheme
During an interaction, Sandhya Sharma of Pithampur informed Chief Minister Chouhan that earlier water was being supplied in the city in a gap of 2-3 days. Now Narmada drinking water scheme provides adequate water every day. Now all women of the city are happy.
Water problem would arise in summer
Devshankar Shukla of Bada Malhara urban body told the Chief Minister that earlier, people of the area used to suffer from water crisis in summer. This problem will be resolved once the new drinking water scheme comes. The Kathan irrigation project will prove to be a boon for the area. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed to complete the drinking water scheme soon. He said that Science Faculty will be introduced in Bada Malhera College.
Clean water to be provided through taps to every house in the cities
Minister Bhupendra Singh said that clean tap water is being provided in every house through urban drinking water schemes. The drinking water schemes which have been laid today will be completed soon. He said that we are leading in the schemes of all departments including Urban Development Department under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Nitesh Vyas and Manish Singh and other officials were present during the meeting.
Bhoomi-pujan performed of 7 schemes worth Rs 142 crores
Under the ADB Yojana, Chief Minister Chouhan performed bhoomi pujan of water supply projects worth Rs 19 crore 55 lakhs of Dhamnod Nagar Parishad, Rs 21 crore 50 lakhs of Jironkhalsa Nagar Parishad, Rs 20 crore 29 lakhs of Kari Nagar Parishad, Rs 20 crore 52 lakhs of Lidhorakhas Nagar Parishad and under World Bank Scheme, he performed bhoomi-pujan of projects worth Rs 25 crore 90 lakhs of Bada Malhera Nagar Parishad, Rs 26 crore 52 lakhs of Sewadha Nagar Parishad and Rs 7 crore 51 lakhs of Nagar Parishad, Naigadhi. About 93 thousand citizens will get the benefit of completion of these projects.
12 schemes worth Rs 225 crores dedicated
About 4 lakh 80 thousand citizens of 12 cities will be benefited from 12 water supply schemes dedicated by Chief Minister Chouhan. Under the Chief Minister’s Urban Drinking Water Scheme, water supply projects worth Rs 13 crore 35 lakhs of Hanumana Nagar Parishad, Rs 12 crore 89 lakhs of Amanganj Nagar Parishad, Rs 18 crore 18 lakhs of Nagod Nagar Parishad, Rs 11 crore 94 lakhs of Kurvai Nagar Parishad, Rs 7 crore 34 lakhs of Budhni Nagar Parishad, Rs 8 crore 37 lakh of Govindgarh Nagar Parishad, Rs 7 crore 92 lakh of Bhanpura Nagar Parishad, Rs 7 crore 29 lakhs of Badoud Nagar Parishad, Rs 14 crore 70 lakhs of Umaria Nagar Palika and Rs 4 crore 95 lakhs of Chhapiheda Nagar Parishad were dedicated. Chief Minister Chouhan also dedicated water supply projects worth Rs 29 crore 88 lakh of Guna Nagar Parishad and Rs 87 crore 69 lakh of Pithampur Nagar Palika under AMRUT Mission – Window to News
