CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had lunch at Didi Cafe with wife

Bhopal 08 March 2021: On the occasion of International Women's Day, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Didi Café at the District Panchayat. He inquired about the food prepared by the women of Aastha Self-help Group at Didi Cafe and expressed his desire to have lunch. The women of Didi Cafe happily served special tasty lunch to the Chief Minister and his wife Sadhana Singh. The cafe sisters served dal, rice, vegetables, roti, gulabjamun and papad in the meal. Chief Minister Chouhan said that food was very good and he felt as if he was having homemade food. Thanking the Didis for the delicious food, Sadhana Singh paid Rs 1500 to the Aastha Self-Help Group. Chief Minister Chouhan presented a refrigerator to the Aastha self-help group that runs Didi Cafe.

Chief Minister Chouhan asked all the officers present to have meal at Didi Cafe at least once. He said this would provide financial strength to the women of this group and you will get better food. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia also had meal with the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh purchased a Shivratri Gift Hamper made by Anuj Aajeevika Self Help Group Agariya Khurd Fanda from a self-help group stall in the district panchayat campus and paid Rs 550 for the same. The Chief Minister also inquired about the products including ghee, soap, phenyl, slippers etc. made by the Sharda Maa Devika Self-Help Group. Chief Minister Chouhan said that arrangements will be made to procure products of women self-help groups for government use. The Didis thanked Chief Minister Chouhan for government financial assistance, on which the Chief Minister said that this is just the beginning, you have to go far ahead. The Didi Cafe located in the District Panchayat Office Complex was inaugurated three months back. In this, breakfast, tea, coffee etc. are provided by the women of the local self-help group. Tasty breakfast and meals are provided at the lowest possible rates. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, ACS Manoj Shrivastava, Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat, Collector Avinash Lavania and other officers were present on the occasion – Window to News
